Our client located in the West Island is currently recruiting an experienced mechanically inclined Maintenance Manager to join their team. In your role as Maintenance Manager some of your key responsibilities will be as follows:
Duties:
Schedule and manage mechanics schedule and priorities of repairs / machine maintenance
Maintain all machinery and ensure working standards
Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
Ensure all maintenance procedures are respected
Inspect and assure proper operation of the boilers and compressors
Request quotes for all outside contractors / repairs which is approved by the plant manager
Track repairs and maintenance dates and services provided
Approve invoices received from outside suppliers
Ensure all spare parts are in stock at all times
Ensure mechanics adhere to the safety policies
Maintain heating and A/C systems in the plant
Other duties as assigned
Responsible to observe all of the occupational health and safety rules.
Education:
Millwright License (or equivalent) at College level
Qualifications:
Experience as a Trades Supervisor in a unionized manufacturing plant
Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and industrial electricity
Knowledge of Plant and company procedures
Demonstrates the ability to effectively organize, direct and communicate with subordinates, peers and other Management personnel
